For the last 12 years OTS Super Plus have provided a hands-on service of SMSF audits.
It is a commonly held opinion that SMSF Auditors don’t add any value beyond a signed annual audit report required by law. OTS Super Plus has a very different perspective on the role of an SMSF auditor whom we see as a key member of any SMSF strategy team.

We look at SMSF strategy differently to an SMSF adviser. Without question, auditor independence is crucial. The SMSF auditor can no longer be an in-house appointment and ideally should be an external expert. Make sure you have invited the right auditor to your strategy table - that auditor could one day save you from disaster and will, without doubt, add value to your strategy team.

What does the standard audit process involve?Our process is straightforward. All we require are completed annual financial statements, tax return, copies of source documents, and Fund statutory documents so we can ensure that all Regulations and Sections of SMSF Law and Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act have been met. Everything can be sent electronically (or via mail). We have a SMSF Audit Checklist to help if required.

How long does it take?We pride ourselves on fast turnaround time; if we have everything required, we can have your completed audit back to you within 3-4 business days.

How much does it cost?The average fee is $550 Inc GST, though first year Funds will be less and Funds with Property investments, Unlisted Shares or Unit Trust Investments, Collectables etc will incur higher fees. We are more than happy to provide a free quote.

What will we receive at the end of the SMSF Audit?An Audit Report and Trustee Management Letter (this letter will outline any issues we have encountered during our audit that we want to bring to your attention).
